Fancy making your very own chocolate bar? Why not spice things up with a little toffee crunch in all the right paces.
We have created this delicious toffee chocolate bar, made from rescued broken chocolate. So easy to make and super sustainable. What is not to love!
- 200–300g wonky/broken milk chocolate (chunks, shards, vibes)
- 100g caster sugar
- 50g unsalted butter
1. Make the toffee
- Add the sugar, butter, and water to a small saucepan.
- Heat gently without stirring until everything melts.
- Once melted, let it bubble and turn a deep golden colour
(about 5–8 minutes). Swirl the pan gently if needed. - When it smells toasty and looks amber, remove from heat immediately.
2. Assemble the chaos
- Line a tray with baking paper.
- Melt your wonky chocolate
- pour your wonky chocolate over the tray.
- Pour the hot toffee over the chocolate — it’ll melt it slightly.
3. Set & smash
- Leave to cool at room temp or chill for 20–30 minutes.
- Once fully set, break it up with your hands or a rolling pin.
